During my time at CometAds as User Interface Director, it grew from a simple video ad builder to an all-in-one advertising platform that allows the user to create a 15-second video ad, publish it to many of the leading ad networks, and then track campaign progress right from their smartphone.
With only basic UI and graphic design having been done before my arrival, I was an integral part of the CometAds design and development process since day one. The screens below resulted from 2 years of design process, beta testing and revisions.
When we added a tracking platform, it required new profile fields and features. Below is a high-level data flow map and a few of the wireframes that I created during the revamp of our account creation process. These changes lead to an interface that catered to the growing user needs of the platform. We did not complete full design mocks because this was not a client facing portion at the time.
The CometAds mobile tracker enables clients to follow the progress of their online campaigns developed and published through the desktop platform right from a mobile phone in real-time. CometAds Mobile Tracker shows impressions, clicks, and click-through rates for multiple campaigns and sub-projects, which can be manipulated through a series of gestures.
These wireframes show the workflows for key sections of the CometAds mobile tracking interface, detailing all gestures necessary to manipulate the menus, tables, and graphs in both orientations.
The following frames show the development of the CometAds mobile tracking interface UI and graphics from version 1 through version 3. These 3 iterations took place over the course of about 6 months.
Some of CometAds’ clients and re-sellers were using the tracking technology to display white-labeled results. Here we can see the mobile tracking interface proposals I made for Houzz and Homeware.
